Research Interest

Our lab delves into the forefront of materials science and chemistry, pursuing two research areas. Firstly, we develop emerging earth-abundant semiconductor thin films using solution-processed techniques for energy-related applications, such as water-splitting electrodes and absorbers for thin-film solar cells. In our second focus, we are dedicated to creating innovative metal complexes tailored for various applications, including light-emitting phosphors, chemical sensors, and antimicrobial agents. This involves a comprehensive exploration of their structural, optical, and photochemical properties. In our lab, students will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing, synthesizing, and characterizing new semiconductor materials.
